mrs. mathews’ holiday fudge

this recipe is from nathan’s mom & it has to be one of my favorite desserts. every december, i look forward to getting a tin full of it around the holidays. after an unfortunate incident where my little brother inhaled all the fudge before anyone else could get to it, i decided i needed to get the recipe for myself in case catastrophe hit again. i couldn’t believe how easy it was!

ingredients:

-2 sticks butter, halved

-2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

-4 cups sugar

-1 12 oz. can evaporated milk

-1 pkg marshmallows

directions:

-combine last three ingredients in a large pot on stove, cook until thickened & marshmallows melted (about 7 mins)

-toss first two ingredients into hot mixture, stir until melted

-pour mixture into greased 9×13 pan

-put in fridge or freezer until hardened
